It's February! Black History Month, & the month of L-O-V-E. I hope you all began 2023 with a BANG. I know I have. As a creative, I have jumped into a new medium. Collaging has been my saving grace since the new year began. It truly is a metaphor for where I am in life. FLOWING! - xoxo, K Ligg NEW TO THE SHOP FEBRUARY BOOK WRAP UP WOW! A quick read with vivid imagery in true Toni Morrison fashion. I loved the characters in this book. I would give it 5 stars, but the book's second half didn't do it for me. Grab this read on Amazon. Summary: Two girls who grow up to become women. Two friends who become something worse than enemies. In this brilliantly imagined novel, Toni Morrison tells the story of Nel Wright and Sula Peace, who meet as children in the Bottom. Was not expecting to enjoy this book as much as I did! It is spicy, relatable, and funny at times. Just the book I needed to start off 2023. Topics were a bit redundant at times, but I enjoyed this authors honest and candid takes on her life. It is worth the read, I promise. Summary: A set of essays examining pop culture’s impact on her life, Nichole Perkins takes readers on a rollicking trip through the last twenty years of music, media and the internet from the perspective of one southern Black woman. 2 VIDEOS TO INSPIRE YOUR CREATIVE JOURNEY Rating all of the collages I created during January!
